Hey, it's Timaeus. I decided to write a guide for the hard mode patch I made a while back. This covers the
basic changes I made, except in more detail. Also, this is for the latest patch version. To use this guide,
look at the table of contents above, and click the links in the table of contents to scroll right to that point.

0.2 - General Changes ||
o-------------------------------------------------o
- Chips' base powers have been reduced by various amounts, depending on the chip.
- Viruses and bosses now have 25% or 50% more HP, depending on how much HP they had already. Since the max for
non-Cybeasts is 4095 HP, some bosses might not have the properly intended boost, but they are instead improved
in different ways.
- Bosses are now faster, with stronger versions of their old moves.
- Title screen has been changed to a new one. You can view it
here.
- ThunderMan replaces ElecMan, and his SP form can be found in a random encounter in ElevatorComp, located in Sky Town.
Corresponding chips have been modified to accommodate the change.
- ShadeMan replaces SlashMan, and his SP form can be found in Undernet1 in a random encounter.
Corresponding chips have been modified to accommodate the change.
- Chargeshots have been disabled up until you have beaten the final boss for the first time. Otherwise, they
take longer to charge up.
- Chips take longer to charge up now. This pertains to charging with the A button with forms such as SlashCross
with Sword chips and TomahawkBeast with Elementless chips.
- Typical removed chips have their icons and images restored. These include the dark chips and the arm change chips,
as well as Japanese-exclusive chips (not including Falzar and Gregar).
- New chip images have been assigned to the Cannon and Bomb series.
- Z-Saber has been changed to "EvilCut".
- Crisis music has been fully removed, thanks to Prof. 9's cool ASM code. Just turn the game on, save once, then reload
the game and it will remove the crisis music.
- The SoulFolder chips have been modified in order to give the player the chance to use some removed chips! If you recall,
you can get this folder from the guy at the top of the big ramp in Undernet Zero.
- With Prof. 9's ASM, the results screen now pixelates in more quickly.
- SpoutCross, TomahawkCross, and GroundCross have new abilities. See Crosses section for more info.
- Text for chip names, enemy names, and so on have been extended to my preferences.
- ProtoMan SP and FZ will now give you one of the following depending on how well you do in the battle against them:
CustSword B, VarSword B, and NeoVariable B. The maximum you can get from ProtoMan SP is VarSword B, and the maximum
you can get from ProtoMan FZ is NeoVariable B.
- There are five new Program Advances! See the Program Advance section for more information.
